ABS Sales tools
The ABS customer database provides an instant overview
of the customer, which can be displayed as background information during
a phone call, and which can also be used to produce bulk mailings (via
a word processor). From this screen a single click lets you record the
details of a phone call, fire off an email, write a letter, or create
a new Order for the customer.
All actions relating to a client are stored in their customer
history. So, in a single list you can see all their bookings, notes of
conversations with them, and mailings sent to them. This list can also
include future planned actions. Future actions also form part of a salesperson's
"to do" list, reminding them of all the actions they have planned to carry
out on a particular day.
Summaries of the customer's revenue by publication can be displayed,
showing you where they have advertised in the past twelve months, and
where in the previous twelve months. Sales people can be assisted in negotiating
rates by having the rate card information at their fingertips, plus target
yield for the issue in question and historic pricing for that customer.
It is possible to record ads sighted in competitor publications,
to allow you to report on market share, to track advertiser's loyalty,
and to help account handlers "poach" business from competitors.
