ABS – Customer database

ABS includes a database of all your customers. You can find a customer and view all their data from a single screen including:

• all the people you know at that customer andall the addresses you use for that customer
• a complete customer history: ads booked, phone calls, emails, etc
• which agency or agencies the customer uses and which people and/or addresses are relevant for which publications
• summary of business revenue/volume by publication
• advertiser business type and custom tags for mailing or analysis purposes

When viewing an advertiser, a mouse-click will take you to view their agency's details. Conversely, you can view all the advertisers who book through a particular agency.

Customers can be found very flexibly, including by company initials (especially useful for agencies – e.g. BBH). In particular, ABS automatically remembers customers' previous company names - so you can find customers easily when company names change. ABS copes transparently with contacts who leave your customer companies, and companies who move address - without deleting the old information from the system. ABS encourages sales people not to enter duplicate records for the same company or person. If duplicates have been entered, it even allows you to merge them into a single record.
