The above editions are designed for use in the home or home office environments and are designed to:
- Protect a single desktop or notebook running Windows
- Protect a small network of desktops, notebooks running Windows, Mac OS X, Mac OS, Red Hat Linux, SUSE LINUX or Solaris.
- Backup to external disk drives, CD/DVDs or tape (Professional only)

Professional
Backs up the Windows PC the software is running on and up to 2 networked computers running Windows, Mac OS X, Mac OS, Red Hat Linux, SUSE LINUX or Solaris.
Additional networked desktops and notebooks can be protected by purchasing add-on client licenses.
Backup media supported includes tape drives, hard disks and CD/DVDs
Disaster recovery for the PC running Retrospect and Open File Backup for Windows XP are included as standard
Disk-to-Disk
Protects a single Windows server or PC by backing up to hard disks or CD/DVDs – tape drives are not supported
Networked servers, desktops and notebooks running Windows, Mac OS X, Mac OS, Red Hat Linux, SUSE LINUX or Solaris can also be backed up by purchasing add-on client licenses
