The PatchSee
intelligent patch cord system. This consists of Category 5e or 6 PatchCords,
with twin fibre optic strands running through the length of each cable,
a PatchLight, PatchClips and a PatchBox.
No more time consuming labelling of cables or tracing through
the patch cord spaghetti in the cabinets from the patch panel to network
switch, or voice panel. Simply put the PatchLight over one end of the
cable, switch it on, stand back and look for the coloured lights shining
from the other end. Think of the return on investment on the amount of
time saved by your IT staff!
Prices for the longer cables compare favourably with standard
Cat 5e drop cords and there is a small premium to pay for the shorter
ones.

Add the additional identification of the 16 different coloured PatchClips
to identify key services or locations and you finally have a patching
system where change requests don't necessarily mean hours in the comms
room.
